Dirk Smith - Vice President of Eastern European Mission (EEM) - our guest at Courageous Leadership with Virginia Prodan Podcast

Dirk Smith joined Eastern European Mission following his highly successful tenure as a development officer with his alma mater, Harding University. An accomplished manager, he earned experience in business development with an eye for revenue building through positions with firms like Jackson & Coker in Dallas, Texas, and T. Williams Consulting serving clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and an MBA with a focus on Organizational Development and Ethics. At EEM, Dirk oversees fundraising and marketing efforts as well as assists with U.S. operations. He is an experienced presenter and storyteller and loves sharing the stories of what God is doing through the ministry of EEM. Dirk was married to his beautiful, spirit-filled wife Wendy for 34 years. Wendy battled ALS for 4 years and went to her perfect rest on January 9, 2023. Dirk resides in the greater Nashville area and is Dad to three adult children, Taryn, Tyler and Trevor.

Her message will encourage you and motivate you to keep your faith in a faithless world.

We live in an increasingly secular society. According to many researches - 1.1 billion people worldwide identify as non-believers.

Many others superficially identify with Christianity but rarely pray, read the Bible, or act on their faith. Church attendance rates are also at an all-time low, with many denominations forced to close churches as a result - as fewer than one-quarter of Americans attend church on Sunday.

Therefore those non attending church Christians increasingly feel for that reason a lack of faith within their communities and within their own lives.

Virginia Prodan can testify as I experienced religious persecution in socialist Romania, that remaining true to your faith may feel all but impossible when it's absent from so many elements of daily life, but it's a challenge worth pursuing.

Virginia Prodan has few suggestions for keeping your faith in a faithless world - and—- incorporating your faith into your daily routine.

Joel Noble - Director of Public Policy at Samaritan Ministries International - is out guest at Courageous Leadership with Virginia Prodan Podcast.

Joe has served Samaritan Ministries International - since 2001. He directs the ministry’s legislative program, advocating with federal and state governmental bodies. Joel earned his bachelor’s degree in history education from Illinois State University, with an emphasis on political science, geography and sociology. He completed a Master of Arts in leadership studies from the Seminary at Lincoln Christian University, where his final research paper focused on what the Bible teaches on the proper jurisdiction of the family, church and civil government. He has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 20 years. They have four boys.

Before joining ADF, Green worked at Prager University as a development director where he filmed videos for the production team and helped donors share their stories.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, a Master's degree in Theology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, He is earning a PhD in Bible Exposition, also from Liberty University where he earned the name "The Bible History Man." He is the author of twenty- five books on biblical theology, religion, culinary, humor, political satire, folk tales, juvenile fiction, and American history, as well as three screenplays. He has written for New York’s Newsday, The Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald, The Evening News of India, Far East Traveler Magazine, The New York Daily News, The Pasadena Star-News, Namaskar (Air India Inflight), The Peak Magazine (Hong Kong), and many others. James has held many executive positions with World Vision, FedEx, Ferriari International, Neopost, Brinks Inc. and many more.

Steve Green President of Hobby Lobby - returns to Courageous Leadership with Virginia Prodan Podcast.

Steve Green became President of Hobby Lobby in 2004 and has helped his family grow the business to more than 900 stores in 47 states with over 43,000 employees. He is a national speaker on both business and philanthropy interests, always focusing on how his faith intersects with his life endeavors.

Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary recognized his impact in these overlapping life arenas with an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree in 2013. In 2015, Mid-America Christian University presented him with an Honorary Doctorate of Biblical Literature.

Green is also chairman of the board for Museum of the Bible. In his role as chairman, Green has assembled a team of academics, designers, technology professionals and other experts to create the 430,000-square-foot Museum of the Bible, dedicated to a scholarly and engaging presentation of the Bible's impact, history, and narrative. The Museum opened November 2017 in Washington D.C., three blocks from the U.S. Capitol. Green has authored four books. His books can be found in Hobby Lobby stores across the nation, and online. Green and his wife, Jackie, have been married for more than 30 years and reside in Oklahoma City, where Hobby Lobby is headquartered. Their family includes a son, five daughters, a daughter-in-law, three sons-in-law and six grandchildren. They are actively involved in their local church, as well as with many national and international Christian ministries and charities.
